Gestalgar has many charms that make it worth visiting, but there is one that gets the most attention for its beauty and for being a place full of corners that make it a unique natural enclave. We are talking about the Fuente Peña María recreational area, accessed by a forest trail. There is a beautiful bathing area of the River Turia located at the foot of La Peña María, an impressive massif that presides over the area and that will delight both bathers and photographers.
Los Calicantos Aqueduct
There is a jewel in the small town of Gestalgar that can be found very close to the well-known Gestalgar bathing area. There the visitor can find the Roman Aqueduct of the Calicantos – an unfinished Roman construction which, in spite of not fulfilling at any moment its water transport mission, offers the rare opportunity to see an exemploir of construction as the Roman workers left it many centuries ago.
El Baño del Motor
The Gestalgar motor bath area, also known as Gestalgar fluvial beach, is a wonderful natural pool of the Turia River as it passes through this small town of just 700 inhabitants.
