31st of October
A special hike for the All Hallows’ Eve (or Samhain for all the pagans out there). Fall colors, medieval village & woods – this hike linking Fuentes de Rubileos and Olba has it all!
We’ll meet in Valencia in the parking lot on av. Aragón in front of Mestalla stadium and drive to Fuentes de Rubielos. Once there, we’ll have a quick cup of coffee on a terrace of a bar before starting the hike.
This very impressive route starts from Fuentes de Rubielos, a municipality belonging to the Gudar-Javalambre region. We will largely use the trail marked as PRTE-30. The route joins the towns of Olba and Fuentes de Rubielos, crossing areas with a lot of forest mass and attractive places, such as the Gorriza cave, the San Jorge Viewpoint and the Peñas de Santa María, the place with the most visual appeal, offering us breathtaking views from the top of the vertiginous straits of the Rubielos River.
If there is still energy/time, we can visit Rubielos de Mora after the hike and celebrate the All Hallows’ Eve there a bit. This would mean later return to Valencia though.
