6th of January
Let’s go to Tavernes de Valldigna to hike up Alt de les Creus. This peak has three crosses on top (hence the name) and offers splendid panoramic views. Not only will we get to see the coast, but also get the chance for a bird’s view of the city.
We’ll meet in Valencia in the parking lot on av. Aragón in front of Mestalla stadium and drive to Tavernes de la Valldigna. Once there, we’ll have a cup of coffee on a terrace of a bar before starting the hike.
After a stroll along the edge of the city we’ll start the ascent. The way up is quite gentle, going along a zigzagging trail. There is a nice opening, two thirds of the way, with great views of Cullera. Once we get up to the crosses, we will stop there for lunch. The way down is a bit steeper, but still quite doable. We will have a drink on a terrace in Tavernes after the hike and then return to Valencia.
