El Celler de la Ibola winery
The winery is run by a young couple whose objective is to combat the depopulation of the municipality of Ain, located in the heart of the Sierra Espadán. The project focuses on a small winery where wines with native grape varieties are carefully handcrafted, recovering the winemaking traditions of their grandparents in the town of Aín.
They also strive to keep the fields clean and cultivated, taking advantage of the raw material for the production of native products such as jams, oils, preserves and honey.

Quesería Los Corrales

Los Corrales artisan cheese factory was established in 1990 in Almedíjar, within the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park. The cheeses are made with their own original recipes, developed in order to try express the reality of the landscape and the land that surrounds it. Therefore we can say that they make “QUESOS DE AUTOR”. Raw milk preserves the original characteristics of milk, both in nutritional qualities – it preserves vitamins, the structure of proteins and keeps its original bacterial flora intact – as well as in flavor and aromas, since the flora and enzymes present in milk they develop and give us unique and unrepeatable characteristics

Pozo Negro
Pozo Negro, also known as “bottomless” because of its depth, is a bathing area next to Fuente del Zuro area. It is the result of the wear produced by the course of the water over time. This natural pool is located in the foothills of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park, nestled in the middle of nature, with cool, clean and transparent waters. You can admire an evocative landscape of pines, cork oaks, holm oaks, as well as a varied scrub vegetation, which harmonizes with reddish mountains (characteristic tonality of the rodeno, or whetstone) in the surroundings. The pool is located just 2.3 kilometers from the town.

Los Órganos de Benitandús
Órganos de Benitandús are located in the northeast of the town, and are imposing rock formations that recall the shape of a church pipe organ, hence the name of this small spot nestled within the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park.
From the top of the formations, which are easily accessible along the circular route from Alcúdia de Veo, you can contemplate wonderful views, offering a panoramic of the entire area and of the reservoir. It is therefore, without a doubt, a spectacular place that will leave you breathless, which may be somewhat similar to Garbí lookout point in Sierra Calderona. In addition, at its top, as an added attraction of the visit, trenches and other defensive formations from the Spanish Civil War can be found.

Benitandús

In the heart of the Sierra de Espadán, Castellón, there is a small district of Alcúdia de Veo with less than 20 inhabitants. We are talking about Benitandús, a small village located on the banks of Veo river, a corner where the nearby reservoir called Onda (or Benitandús) Reservoir attracts visitors. Apart from that, there is a via ferrata, about 30 meters high, areas for the practice of aquatic and dry canyoning, routes of hiking or areas to ride on the mountain bike. The main attraction is, of course, Órganos de Benitandús.
As for the reservoir – it is a small and old one, located in the municipality of Alcudia de Veo, in the Plana Baja region. The dam that holds the water in place has a height of 28 meters and a length of 119. This reservoir was built in the 1950s on the Veo river, with the main purpose of irrigating the fields of the nearby towns. Its tail engulfed an old mill that can be seen when the water flow drops.
Accommodation – Casa Rural de Benitandús
In Casa Rural de Benitandús, guests enjoy an admirable environment, ideal for families or friends. The area is remarkably quiet, while also being relatively close to the urban centers of Plana de Castellón. It is an excellent alternative to the mass tourism centers of the coast and other more distant hotel offers.
The building is an old construction, previously used for agriculture and livestock dating back to1887. The building complex, whose restoration was carried out under rigorous criteria of environmental sustainability and minimal landscape impact, is made up of: Ground floor with kitchen-office, living room, toilet and patio. First floor with three bedrooms with bathroom. Second floor with loft-bedroom, bathroom and terrace. All the rooms offer beautiful views of the natural environment, culminated by the “Orgues de Benitandús”.
