Different Chulilla

13th of January

Chulilla is a very well known hiking destination. This time however, we are going off the beaten path to climb two peaks that will give us great panoramic views of the village – Cruz de la Muela and Frailecico.

La Muela is the highest peak of those surrounding the town of Chulilla. Its top undoubtedly offers us some privileged views. To reach our destination we’ll leave from the Plaza de La Baronía. As we follow the path we will constantly walk by the remains of a water pipe. This pipeline had its origin in the Lebrillico spring and ended in what is now La Plaza de la Baronía. There are the remains of the Fuente del Lebrillico well, where the water flowed in the past. These days, no water flows from said source.

From the top of La Muela, the viewpoint of La Cruz is the one that most impresses due to the ledge where it is located, as well as the view it offers us. The town of Chulilla at our feet with its castle that crowns it.
