Cork Oak Trail

The surroundings of this route are predominantly cork oaks, making the the trail one of the best examples of this magnificent tree. As a bonus, we will also visit Masía Mosquera – an abandoned cork oak factory.

We will meet in Valencia in the parking lot on av. Aragón in front of Mestalla stadium and drive to Almedíjar. We will have a coffee on a terrace there and start the hike. The first part of the route is quite a steep ascent, but after the initial effort, the path becomes much easier. After getting to the peak and having the best panoramic views of Almedíjar, we will continue along the ridge until we reach Masía Mosquera. We will stop to have a lunch there. After that we will take the path down to Almanzor ravine and make our way back to the village along this ravine. Finally, we will have a drink on a terrace in Almedíjar and return to Valencia.


Difficulty: medium (12km with 450m of elevation gain).
Technical level: medium/hard (steep ascent in the beginning, easier later on)
Meeting point: Mestalla, parking lot on av. Aragón, 9:30 (return to Valencia ~18:00)
Price: 32 euros (28 euros signing up before 02.03 17:00) / 12 euros coming to Almedíjar.

The price includes professional guide, transportation, accident and public liability insurances.
