The Belt Trail

30th of April

Let’s go to Cortes de Pallás to do a stunning hike on the banks of Júcar river, with impressive views all along the track.

Another one of the great routes of the Valencian Community, one of those that must necessarily be on the lists of the best in the area. A route through the Júcar canyons and the Sacarás ravine, with the incredible reliefs of the Mola de Cortes to enhance the beauty of the canyon at the level of the Cortes II reservoir, crowned by the Chirel Castle, on the other side of the reservoir on the visited area.
La Muela de Cortes, the territory through which today’s route runs, is a large Cretaceous platform, where limestone is mixed with gypsum and clay, with an average altitude of almost 900 meters above sea level, limited to the north and east by the Júcar canyons, to the west by the Sacarás valley, while to the south it continues with the Caroig Massif.
