The Bardés trail is a route of moderate difficulty that unites nature, heritage and history in the Sierra de Andilla. The itinerary begins in the town next to the Cruz de Andilla, and consists of a total of five interpretive panels that will bring us closer to both the course of the Battle of Levante and the organization of the defensive front of Andilla. These reveal the strategic situation of the population, and its villages, in the warlike context of the Spanish Civil War. These were framed between the republican defensive lines of the XYZ and the Intermedia. In fact, Andilla was the XYZ’s 10th center of resistance.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a privileged natural environment and visit several of the defensive structures that were built as part of the fortification project devised for the defense of Valencia. The section that is part of the Collado de Bardés path has several defensive structures dominating the Álamo ravine, of which three parapets can be visited. In addition, before reaching the corral de Potecas, you can visit a section of trench next to the ravine of the Caves and facing the path of Collado de la Salada. This route is completed with two areas of interest such as the surroundings of the Santa Margarita shrine and the natural area of Fuente del Señor.
