This easy route is ideal to enjoy with a family or a group of friends, due to its accessibility and its scenic beauty. The trail goes through the Cofrades Valley until it reaches Caños del Júcar, with the length of 11 kilometers done in roughly 4 hours. Undoubtedly its great attraction is the canyon itself, with steep 200 meter high walls right above the Júcar river. Another highlight is scenic curve, which the river makes at this point.

In the historic center of Alcalá del Júcar there are two of the most historic caves in the town. This is La Cueva de Garadén and La Cueva del Diablo. Garadén’s is the oldest of the two. It is believed that it was built in the Arab era and has a large viewpoint. The function of this cave was warlike.
Alcalá del Júcar was located on the royal road from Castilla to Levante and everyone who came from Castilla to Levante or vice versa had to pay the corresponding taxes on the Roman bridge. Then, the cave of King Garadén functioned as a sentry post, from the viewpoint of this cave they watched the passage of the river preventing people from crossing the Roman bridge while sailing and avoiding paying taxes.
