The Black Waters

23rd of April

This time we are going to hike along the Barranco de Aguas Negras, navigating our way along and across the mountain stream. The route will involve a lot of water, so be prepared to cross it multiple times.

We’ll meet in Valencia in the parking lot on av. Aragón in front of Mestalla stadium and drive to Vall de Almonacid. Once there, we’ll have a coffee on a terrace and drive a little more to Fuente de la Calzada, where the route starts.

The route will involve walking along a mountain stream for the most part of the hike. We will be crossing the stream multiple times, some of these can be done hopping on stones, some will require taking our shoes off. If you have special shoes for walking in water – bring them, they will be quite useful. After coming back to the starting point, we will drive back to the town to have a drink on a terrace and then we’ll return to Valencia.
