  My husband and I did the group hike to the Roman aqueduct (Peña Cortada), led by Dmitry, and it was truly spectacular! Walking through the town of Chelva with its Jewish, Moorish, Christian, and Arabic influence, traversing the Ruta del Agua along and above the river, and hiking up into the mountains, through tunnels that form part of the aqueduct before crossing the aqueduct itself, we saw incredible scenery, and best of all, the aqueduct–an amazing feat of engineering–over 2,000 years old, and … More completely preserved! It was nice getting to know this international group of hikers, and Dmitry has deep knowledge of the region which he is happy to share when asked. The hike was often uphill which was strenuous for me, though my husband (who is athletic) classified it as moderate. Highly recommend!

  We were 3 who went with Kristina with Valencia mountain Enthusiasts to hike Serra de Bernia. What a fantastic walk. Beautiful views, and Kristina is a fantastic guide, we just loved her. She cared about us, and was always asking if I was alright as this was my first mountain hike. Yes it was really challenging for me as there were a lot of rocks and stones to walk and climb up. But I made it. Thank you for a wonderful trip and walk. We will be going again with them.❤️❤️

  Fabulous two hikes over the weekend. Everything expertly organised and Melchor was the most wonderful of guides to walk with – professional and attentive but also fun and he went out of his way to make sure we all had the best time. Some lovely company on both hikes was the icing on the cake. Totally recommend if you want to see more of the Valencian countryside in good hands. Thank you 😊

  I feel very lucky to have connected with Valencia Mountain Enthusiasts for hiking in the region. I have hiked and biked with Dmitry and he is great. This weekend did a hike with Melchor for the first time so this review is about my experience with Melchor.
  Melchor is knowledgeable, sociable, and shows a lot of concern for hikers in the group, regardless of their experience and fitness. I was towards the front of the group this time, but he encouraged everyone to stay relatively close and routinely … More checked on everyone in the front and back of the pack.
  This hike had gorgeous cliff views from the top and in a canyon — and there were tricky spots with slick rock that required ropes and river crossings over boulders. (Not steep, but required planning and balance etc). Melchor navigated it all patiently and made sure everyone had fun. It was a great day with awesome views. Here are a few photos

  I highly recommend this group! My partner and I went on 10+ hikes during our 2 years living in Valencia and it was genuinely one of the best decisions we made. We loved the ease of being taken to all the most beautiful spots all across the Valencian Community (Valencia, Alicante and Castellón).   Our guide, Dmitry, was full of encouragement when I sometimes felt little trepidations on our recent week-long Dolomites trip. He really is an excellent and knowledgable guide who fills me with the confidence to just do it.

  I recently had the pleasure of joining a weekend hiking trip organized by Dmitry in Ademuz, and I can't recommend him enough. I've known him for six years, and he has never disappointed me.
  This was my first experience with a weekend hike that included accommodation, and it was fantastic. Our group consisted of nine people from different countries and age groups, yet the communication throughout the trip was smooth and enjoyable.

  Joined Dmitry and his group for a week of hiking in the Dolomites Italy and had the best week ever! The week and hikes were well planned out and the mountains were superb and the group was a great mix with an awesome energy.

  Dimitry offers very carefully curated hikes. He takes his small groups to truly stunning landscapes near Valencia. The pre-tour descriptions are accurate.   I have just returned from a 6 day hiking trip to the Sierra de Gredos with a fun group of 8 from the Valencia Mountain Enthusiasts. The weather was not on our side but our guide Dmitry quickly changed our itinerary to suit the weather, and we managed to hike every day in spectacular surroundings along rivers, moss covered paths with views of snow peaked mountains.
  It was a fantastic experience and I shall be signing up again for another trip as soon as time allows.

  A well organized hike with a small group (9 persons). Pick up at Mestalla stadium. After a 1 our drive we stopped for a coffee and after the coffee stop we started our hike. Beautiful nature, great views. A great opportunity to spend a day outside Valencia City.

  Dmitry is compassionate to the needs of different levels of physical ability. First, he lists a detailed explanation of each and every hike with route descriptions, length in km, elevation gain in meters and he rates the ‘Difficulty Level’ and the ‘Technical Level’ from easy to difficult so you know what lies ahead. Plus he shares many photos of the route and scenic areas.
  My husband and I have been hiking with Dmitry for over three years now. This review is long, long overdue. His hikes really are worthy of these accolades!
  We have joined Dmitry on many day hikes, on weekend overnight hiking trips and even a five day EPIC hiking adventure was experienced over New Years 2022! We celebrated the new year on the Island of Mallorca. When we do these get-away trips, Dmitry even seeks out and books our amazing accommodations so all you need to do is join and have fun! All I can say is 5-Star treatment was given by Dmitry and many high-fives for his organizing of this Mallorca event for 9 of us hiking fanatics!!
  No matter where you decide to join Dmitry, he will drive you in a safe new nine passenger van (day hikes from a designated meeting place in Valencia). He is fully insured and follows all safe Covid protocols and restrictions during our pandemic times. Masks are mandatory in the van and in confined spaces. Most of the day hikes are right here near Valencia. Maybe within a 45 minute to 90 minute drive so your day is not all travels.
  My husband and I always enjoy sharing our days hiking with others from all around Europe and beyond. Amazing to think how so many of us are from such different places and cultures, yet have one thing in common – the love of being in nature and exploring on foot.

  I often hike with Valencia Mountain Enthusiasts. The hikes are always well organized, you see a lot of different and beautiful nature, and you meet a lot of nice people. I also like that the hiking is in focus so you walk at a good pace and then make breaks now and then. Before and after the hike we stop at a bar so there’s a good balance between socializing and hiking. Absolutely recommendable!

  I'm a regular one day hiker with Dmitry and Valencia Mountain Enthusiasts but this was the first "trip away" I've taken part in. Have to say it lived up to my expectations. Mr D was, as always, well prepared / organised and good company. Hotel and restaurant choices were good. Nice variety of hikes but Pedro Lopez on the last day was certainly top of the bill.

  Thursday 12 Nov 2021 I joined #ValenciaMountainEnthusiasts on the Ruta del Agua, starting from Chelva (14 km). It was great! And the concept is nice and simple: they take you in a van (9 persons) to the starting point, you bring your own lunch and you just follow the guide. Some walking condition is required though. We were lucky to have wonderful weather. The next time that I come to Valencia I will do another trail.
