A nice route near the sea, starting from Simat de la Valldigna, with a mild ascent along Ruta del Agua, followed by a flat section in Mondúver range. At the end of this section there is a lookout point with excellent views of the sea and the famous mountains like El Montgó and, obviously, Mondúver. The final part of the route is the descent to the castle, which gives the name to the route.
15th of March
Let’s go to Benageber to do the route along the Turia river canyon, walk on the hanging bridge and contemplate a small waterfall – Chorros de Barchel.
Let’s go to Aras de los Omos to do the route along the Túria river in Regajo ravine and walk on some some transhumant paths.
Let’s go to Bicorp to walk along one of the most scenic ravines in Valencia in terms of landscape value, and contemplate some examples of the Rock Art of the Mediterranean Arc, declared by UNESCO the World Heritage Site.
Let’s go to Olocau to do a circular route around the area, visiting various interesting places and hiking up to one of the most important defense castles of muslim era.
Let’s go to the edge of Castellón province to explore one of the most spectacular caves in Comunidad Valenciana – Cueva de Cerdaña.
This time we’re going to visit various natural corners of Palancia river: la Hoz in Jérica and el Sargal and la Floresta in Viver. There is also a great lookout point in the middle of the route giving us the opportunity to appreciate the castle of Jérica.
Let’s go to Alcoy to enjoy the autumn colours walking around Font Roja natural park. We’ll walk along the wooded trails of the park, discover some old snow wells and go up to Menejador peak located 1356m above sea level.
9th of November
Let’s go to Tuéjar to visit El Azud with a beautiful natural reserve and aall the autumn colours, and also hike up to the lookout point to appreciate it from the top.
This time we’re going to Vall de Almonacid to make a route around Sierra Espadán an visit the Almonecir Castle.
Let’s go to Marines Antiguos to hike up to the highest peak of Sierra Calderona – el Gorgo and snack on madroños all along the way.
Chulilla is probably the most famous hiking place in the Valencian Community. This time were going to do a somewhat different route – get up to the lookout point above the village to get the best views of Chulilla, the canyon and surrounding areas.
Let’s go to the Western part of Sierra Espadán to hike to Salto de la Novia waterfall (yes, it has the same name as the other waterfall) and hike along the trails of Cirat municipality.
7th of July
Let’s walk along the coast in Sierra de Irta natural park, which will give us several opportunities to swim in the coves along the route. After the hike we will go to a restaurant to eat paella and then visit the town and the castle of Peñiscola. We will go by private bus from Valencia to Alcossebre and come back to Valencia in the same bus from Peñiscola.
Let’s go to Gestalgar to hike up Peña María, visit Roman aqueduct Los Calicantos and bathe in several natural pools of Turia river.
This is a circular route starting in Chelva and going towards Calles with the return back to Chelva along Ruta del Agua. At the end of the hike we can have picnic and/or swim in the river.
Let’s go to one of the most spectacular natural lookout points in the Mediterranean – Forat de Bérnia. It is a tunnel that will help us cross the mountain and go to the other side to contemplate the magnificent views of the valley and the coast.
14th of April
Let’s visit Bocairent – a village carved out in a rock, do the Barranc dels Tarongers route, make a refreshing stop at the Pou Clar pools and visit the artificial caves – Covetes dels Moros.
7th of April
An impressive route along the area of Canal de Navarrés, with multiple waterfalls and sources and a unique place in the Community – la Cabrentá, also known as Mediterranean selva.
This time we’re going to Moraira to do the spectacular cliff route, visit the coves of Llebeig and Moraig and hike up the emblematic Peñon de Ifach.
The cavas route offers a representative sample of the snow wells commonly found in these mountains of the Valencian interior. The trails between the sanctuary of Agres and the cava gran and the mountain refuge in el Contador will surprise you with ample views over the Agres valley and Benicadell.
10th of March
A spectacular route walking along both sides of a river, with impressive views from above, a visit to one of the biggest caves in Valencia – Cueva Negra and even the possibility of swimming in thermal waters at the end of the hike.
3rd of March
This is one of the most spectacular and famous routes for hikers in the province of Valencia. A tour of caves and tunnels dug into rock, a Roman aqueduct and a wooden walkway through the coved in passage.
