Let’s start the year with an iconic summit ascent! The magnificent Montgo, dominating the coast of Jávea and Dénia shall be our first hike of 2025.

El Montgó is an iconic mountain located on the border between the towns of Dénia and Jávea (Xàbia) in the Alicante province, within Spain’s Valencian Community. Rising to an impressive height of 753 meters, Montgó dominates the surrounding landscape and is easily recognizable due to its distinctive silhouette. The mountain is part of the Montgó Natural Park, a protected area that boasts an exceptional variety of flora and fauna, including rare species such as the Mediterranean fan palm and Bonelli’s eagle. Its strategic location near the coastline provides stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, making it a popular destination for hikers, nature enthusiasts, and photographers.
