11th of February
Let’s hike to one of the iconic peaks of Sierra Calderona – Mola de Segart. It’s peculiar shape makes it easily distinguishable from the coast, while the peak itself provides great views of the sea.
We’ll meet in Valencia in the parking lot on av. Aragón in front of Mestalla stadium and drive to Segart. Once there, we’ll have a cup of coffee on a terrace of a bar before starting the hike.
We’ll start the hike from Segart and first make our way up along the trails behind the village. Soon we’ll pass by Casa Betania – a yoga center, hidden in the hills of Sierra Calderona and continue along a scenic ravine. On our way to the summit we’ll scramble a little bit, to make the ascent more interesting. Once at the top we’ll stop to admire the views and have lunch. The descent goes along a different trail, which will take us around the peak one more time before finally descending back to Segart. Here we’ll have a drink on a terrace and return to Valencia.
