Muela de Santa Catalina

12th of September

Let’s to go the edge of Valencia province – Losilla and hike up to the Muela de Santa Catalina. The peak will offer us great views of the surrounding areas, we will also find a space observatory and several wind mills there.

We’ll meet in Valencia in the parking lot on av. Aragón in front of Mestalla stadium and drive to Losilla (Aras de los Olmos). Once there, we’ll have a quick cup of coffee on a terrace of a bar before starting the hike. The route is a combination of two trails: the PR-CV 130 trail that leads up to plateau and a “Stargazing Trail” on the top. Muela de Santa Catalina offers great views of the area, plus there is a space observatory up there. Towards the end of the hike we will also pass by Santa Catalina hermitage, where we can stop to have lunch. Every person named Catalina / Catherine or derivations of the name will get a 2 euro discount. We will go for a drink on a terrace after the hike and then return to Valencia.
