29th of January
This circular hike and focuses mainly on the ascent to Peñas Aragonesas, an imposing sandstone walls with numerous layers that attract hikers attention from afar.

The advantage of this peak is that it is surrounded by a very flat terrain in the part closest to the town. This will let us observe the town and the other mountains that surround it. From the top we will be able to spot different places, such as: the Castles of Castro and Artana, the Hermitage of Artana, Penyes Blanques and in general the whole mountain of the shadow.
Right beside the peak we will find a lunch spot with a view of the Peñas Aragonesas from below. We will find an information poster and a table, where we can take the opportunity to eat something and regain strength.
As a fun activity, when we pass by the Peña Tiradora, we can amuse ourselves by throwing stones. Almost nobody can manage to throw them over this rock, but whoever does it will be considered a champion. These were a kind of “Olympic games” on a local scale in this ancient sport. In the competitions at the Penya Tiradora, the shepherds almost always beat the local farmers.
