This hike starts in the picturesque neighborhood of Los Cerezos, in Manzanera, and follows the course of the Torrijas River along a gentle trail, ideal for families and pets, with no major elevation gain or technical difficulty. The route connects several iconic springs — Las Especias, El Cañuelo, and finally the Fuente del Gavilán — each featuring picnic areas with tables and barbecue grills. Along the way, hikers will come across crystal-clear pools and small waterfalls flowing over rock formations, perfect for cooling off in the summer and taking beautiful photos. A short detour also leads to the famous Sabina del Desmayo, a twisted, centuries-old juniper tree recognized as a monumental specimen. The full route covers around 12 km (round trip), with a mild elevation gain of about 300 meters, and is especially enjoyable in summer, when the pools offer a refreshing break in nature and a chance for a dip in cold water.
