The Goat Spring Peak

11th of December

The scenic ascent to the Goat Spring Peak (Pico de la Font de Cabres) from Vilavella. The village is considered to be one of the entrances to Sierra Espadán natural park, and on this hike we’ll get to know the side that’s closest to the coast.

We’ll meet in Valencia in the parking lot on av. Aragón in front of Mestalla stadium and drive to Vilavella. We’ll stop here for a coffee on a terrace and start the hike after that. There is a long gradual ascent along a gravel road that will be the first half of the hike. After that the things get more interesting as we get closer the peak and go through rockier areas. The peak itself offers great views of the Mediterranean and a perfect spot for lunch. The return is along a ridge trail with some fun descents and civil war trenches towards the end. After the hike we will have a drink on a terrace and return to Valencia.
