The Lamp of Titaguas

Let’s go to Titaguas to do hike to a peak called la Lampara, meaning “The Lamp” in Spanish. We will pass by Rincón del Tío Escribano cave paintings, as well as some poppy flower fields.

We’ll meet in Valencia in the parking lot on av. Aragón in front of Mestalla stadium and drive to Titaguas. Once there, we’ll have a coffee on a terrace and start the hike. The majority of the route goes along the PR-CV 337 trail called Fuentes de Titaguas. Indeed, the trail passes by various springs of the area. In the beginning we’ll make a detour to check out cave paintings of Rincón del Tío Escribano. In the middle of the hike we’ll have a chance to go through poppy fields. Towards the end we’ll make another detour to la Lampara peak, where we will also have lunch. We will have a drink on a terrace after the hike and return to Valencia.


Difficulty: medium (12.4km with 380m elevation gain).
Technical level: medium (mostly wide trails).
Transportation: 9-seater minibus (alternatively, you can drive to the start of the hike)
Price: 25 euros (19 euros for members)
Meeting point: Mestalla, entrance on av. Aragón, 9:00 (return to Valencia ~18:00)
Bring at least 1l of water, lunch, warm clothes and hiking shoes.

COVID-19 Safety Measures:
– the temperature of all the participants will be measured prior to getting in the minibus
– hand gel use (provided) is mandatory
– wearing a mask is mandatory in all closed spaces
