El Garbí is a striking mountain peak located in the Sierra Calderona Natural Park, within the province of Valencia. Renowned for its dramatic rocky outcrops and panoramic vistas, it stands at approximately 600 meters above sea level, offering sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea, the city of Valencia, and the surrounding countryside. The area is popular among hikers and nature enthusiasts, with well-marked trails leading through pine forests, aromatic Mediterranean shrubs, and unique sandstone formations. At the summit, visitors can enjoy the iconic viewpoints, particularly the Mirador del Garbí, which provides a spectacular backdrop for photography and sunset watching. Its accessibility and natural beauty make El Garbí a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the Valencian Community.
The route begins in Beselga, where we’ll first explore the ruins of its historic castle. From there, we’ll ascend through the lush vegetation of this part of the Sierra Calderona, known for its humid microclimate and shaded paths that foster a diverse array of plant life and create a unique, vibrant landscape. Along the way, we’ll visit the Barraix shrine, which is located near a refreshing natural spring. After a few more kilometers, we’ll reach the Puntal de Albarda lookout point, an ideal spot to pause for lunch and enjoy the stunning views. The return journey takes us down a different trail, leading us back to Beselga. From there, we’ll drive to Estivella for a relaxing drink before heading back to Valencia.
