This time we are going to Olba, to explore the valley made by the Mijares river. This is another great chance to enjoy Autumn colours and walk through various little villages in the area.
We’ll meet in Valencia in the parking lot on av. Aragón in front of Mestalla stadium and drive to Olba. Once there, we’ll have a cup of coffee on a terrace of a bar before starting the hike.
The route starts with a descent from the village, bringing us to the Mijares river. After crossing it, we will walk along it for a bit and then start the main ascent. As we hike uphill, we will get great views of the colourful valley, painted by poplar tree’s leaves changing their tone. In the second half of the hike, we will start going through various little villages which keep their traditional charm. We will also stop in one of them to have lunch and relax. The return is made along the Mijares river again, which we will need to cross barefoot towards the end of the hike. Once back in Olba, we will have a drink on a terrace after the hike and then return to Valencia.
Difficulty: medium (12.8km with 500m elevation gain)
Technical level: medium (we will need to cross the river barefoot)
Meeting point: Mestalla, parking lot on av. Aragón, 9:30 (return to Valencia ~18:00)
Price: 32 euros (28 euros signing up before Thursday, 27.10) / 12 euros coming to Olba.
The price includes professional guide, transportation, accident and public liability insurances.

Hello, I haven’t done Hiking in a while but I would like to join a group who is into it to go on hikes regularly. I’d be interested in joining Mijares and Olba’s the next 29th of October. Is the level of difficulty very high or is it manageable for a fit person, still with no much experience? Thank you
