Let’s take a stroll along one of the most beautiful routes in Valencian interior – Chelva’s Ruta del Agua. At the end of the hike we will also take a dip at a nice little corner called la Playeta.

Chelva’s Ruta del Agua or water route, which can be done both from Chelva and from Calles, is a tourist itinerary of great interest, with a circular layout that combines nature and culture in a pleasant walk of approximately two hours with some rest areas along the path. On the way, you will never stop hearing the murmur of the water from numerous springs, sources, ditches and especially the Tuéjar river, which is also sometimes called Chelva river.

La Playeta
La Playeta is a unique spot on the Chelva River, whose waterfalls and backwater are defined in a traditional bathing area that gets its name from the dragging sand accumulated on the shore.
Next to it you can find a couple of wooden tables with chairs to rest and eat and, very close, at the other end of the river, a picnic area and recreational area whose area is larger for the enjoyment of visitors. It should be said that this area is perfect for spending the day, because in addition to being able to cool off in the river, walk along the beautiful water route, take various trails from this point or simply disconnect in the middle of nature, we will find picnic tables with trees that give shade.
