The Ropé Peak

5th of February

Let’s go to Chera to hike to the highest peak in the municipality – Pico Ropé. This is also going to be the first of the almond blossom season hikes!

The climb to Pico Ropé is one of the classic routes in Chera. The effort of the ascent is rewarded with spectacular panoramic views, especially on clear days, where you can see the coast of Valencia. The ascent is carried out in two sections, the first of them along the Cueva Negra path, and after a short rest on the flat on the Salón cinglo, the second section is carried out along the Arcolla path to the top of Ropé, located at 1,140 meters of altitude. Once at the top, do not forget to stamp your signature on the top book, located under a small metal booth installed by the Club Deportivo Ropé. The descent is made through the Agua ravine, passing through the fat spring, the boquera raft, the Gabriel spring and the Barrio spring.
