From there, a brief 10-minute additional drive transports us to the trailhead at Sant Joan de Penyagolosa monastery, where our hike commences. Opting for the less-traveled Barranc Oscur trail, we’re treated to a tranquil ambiance and captivating scenery as we delve deeper into the wilderness.

Approximately 1.5 hours into our hike, we transition to the traditional path leading to Penyagolosa’s peak.
